Erseal Gayden Forrest, the second child of five children, was born on June 14, 1949 in Montgomery County, MS, to the late George and Fannie Mae “Sis” Gayden.
She attended school in the Carroll County Public School System.
She confessed Jesus Christ as her Savior and joined Bethlehem African Methodist Episcopal Church in Winona, MS where she served dutifully as Stewardess/Trustee and remained a faithful member at Bethlehem A.M.E. Church until her death on September 21, 2019. Sister Erseal truly loved the Lord. She was a humble, compassionate and dedicated servant of God.
She met and was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Sammie Lee Forrest. To this union, two children were born. One preceded her in death (Lucille).
Erseal worked at McGregor Clothing Company and Central Mississippi, Inc., “CMI Head Start” in Winona, MS and Guardsmark LLC/Federal Express Guard Service in Memphis, TN.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Jordan, and three (3) brothers: Robert Gayden, Fred Gayden and Johnny Gayden.
Left to cherish her memories are 2 daughters: Vickie Forrest Harrell (Timothy) and Priscilla Forrest (Tony); 3 grandchildren: Terrance, Timiney and Zion, all of Memphis, TN; One sister: Helen Jamerson of Winona, MS; 2 Sisters-in-law: Christa Gayden and Shirley Gayden, along with devoted nieces: Evelyn, Shirley, Melissa, Johnika, Condra, Perita and Tashira; Devoted nephews: Terrell, JaQuell, JaBralle, Alonzo and John, as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
