Willie Lee Crenshaw was born April 8,1943 in Kilmichael, MS, the son of George and Alberta Crenshaw. Willie attended Mt. Zion High School and later moved to Flint, Michigan to work as a skilled welder at Flint Metal Fab, a division of General Motors Corporation.
He committed his life to the Lord at an early age. His favorite scripture was Matthew 22:39. Willie modeled his life after this scripture by helping others in the community with various projects. He loved being the local mechanic, repairing vehicles for friends and family members. Willie also enjoyed fishing and gardening. He opened up his personal vegetable garden to those in the neighborhood or in the community to share the fruits of his labor. Lastly, Mr. Crenshaw loved to share his wit and humor along with his unforgettable smile and laughter.
Willie Lee Crenshaw leaves to cherish his precious memory: daughter, Delois Crenshaw; grandchildren, Sha’vonne Morgan and Chevaz Crenshaw; sister, Azell (Amos) Lampley, all of Flint; brother-in-law, Floyd Maple of Baton Rouge, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Crenshaw was preceded in death by his son, Willie Chevaz Crenshaw; parents, George and Alberta Crenshaw; sister, Priscilla Maple; brothers, George, Earl and Paul Crenshaw.
