Helen Grace Gary Forrest Glover was born June 12, 1932 in Carrollton County, Mississippi. She was the second of eleven children born to the late Clinton Gary and Etoy Patterson Gary. At an early age, she joined Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Vaiden, Mississippi. Later, she moved her membership to Summerfield Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a faithful member. She enjoyed being on the Usher Board and was delighted to be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord. On March 1, 2020, she felt her health declining and decided to resign from her position as an usher.
Helen Grace married Otha Forrest. To this union, one child was born, Mary Berniece Forrest. Later years, she married Edgar L. Glover, Sr. To this union, four children were born, James Lewis Glover (preceded her in death), Edgar Lee Glover Jr., Ruby Cille Glover, Joe Thomas Glover (preceded her in death). She leaves three children to cherish her memories: Mary B. (Dennis) Russell of Winona, MS, Edgar Lee Glover, Jr. of Milwaukee, WI, Ruby C. (Larry) Walls of Milwaukee, WI. She also leaves four step-children to cherish her memories: Earl (Ruby) Glover of Winona, MS, Vernice Glover of Winona, MS, Archie (Mary) Glover of Chicago, IL and Curlee Glover of Winona, MS, four sisters, Annie M. Maura of Beaver, PA, Lucille (Walter) Wesley of Milwaukee, WI, Minnie (Willie) Johnson of Milwaukee, WI, Betty Gary of Chicago, IL, one brother, George (Tina) Gary of Milwaukee, WI, seven grandchildren, Larome Walls, Kendrick Walls (preceded her in death), Temiko Wells, Edgar L. Glover, III, Bridget Glover, Bernadette Glover, Courtney Glover, Larry Walls, Jr., seven great-granddchildren, a special niece, Mary (Lil Mary), and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
