Reflections of Life
Jeffery Mitchell was born on July 6, 1989, in Jackson (Hinds County), Mississippi to Phyllis Kay Mitchell and Willie B. Southern, Jr.
Jeffery accepted Jesus Christ at the Word of Life Nondenominational Church in Flowood, MS where he attended regularly until his illness.
He was educated at Madison Central High School where he graduated in 2008. After he left high school, he traveled the country, and worked various jobs. He worked in New York as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines. In Atlanta, GA he worked as an Interior Designer for West Elms. He transferred to Houston, TX where he continued to work for West Elms, and the Call Center as a telemarketer.
Jeffery was a very friendly and outgoing young man. He was a straightforward person who told things as they were even if others were offended. He loved his mother and would often leave his apartment and come stay with her for weeks.
Jeffery departed this life on Thursday July 7, 2022 at North Oaks Hospital in Hammond, LA, one day after his 33rd birthday. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother: Phyllis Kay Mitchell of Brandon, MS; his father: Willie B.
