Mamie Lucille Humphrey Siler, affectionaly called "Big Momma" was born in Carroll County, Mississippi on March 4, 1926 to Gossie and Delphia Humphrey. She departed this life on Friday, September 6, 2019. Mamie had 7 brothers and 2 sisters. Mamie attended Mississippi Public School. She professed a hope and belief in Christ at an early age and she was a member of the Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist in McCarlely, Mississippi.
Mamie was employed doing domestic work and continued to do that after moving to Indiana. She was also employed by Walgreen Restaurant as a cook until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gossie and Delphia Humphrey; husband, Luke Siler; sons: Robert Kimball and Willie (Janice cherishing memories) Ghoston; siblings: Velvet, Lugene, William, Lester, Theodore, Otis, J.K., Ella and Betty.
She leaves to cherish her memory, Joseph (Colleen) Humphrey, Faye (David in heaven making her smile) Lillard, Larry (Dorothy) Ghoston, Kirby Ghoston, Margaret (Wayne) Williams and Doug (Gabrielle) Ghoston; Twelve grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
