     Services for Wilburn Phillips Jr., 67, of Itta Bena and formerly of Winona, who passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023, will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hays Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Winona.

     A native of Winona, Mr. Phillips was a graduate of Kilmichael High School and Mississippi Valley State University. He was a retired educator and bus driver with the Leflore County School District for over thirty years.

     He is preceded in death by his parents Wilburn Phillips, Sr. and Ethel Lee Phillips of Winona; and one brother, Burnstine Phillips, Sr. of Memphis, TN.

     Survivors include his wife, Josephine Lee Phillips, two daughters Wendolyn Phillips and Felecia Phillips; two grandchildren, Christian Phillips and Chelsea Phillips, all of Garland, TX; two brothers, Burdis Phillips of Madison, Rufus Phillips of Greenwood; four sisters, Julia Antoine of Itta Bena, Dorothy Torrey of Madison, Shirley Ruth Phillips and Rebecca Bailey, both of Winona; one goddaughter, Duwanda Singleton of Okolona; and a host of brothers and sisters-in-love, nieces, nephews, other relatives in friends.

     Arrangements have been entrusted to Roberts and Sons Mortuary in Winona, MS.
