Mr. Willie J. Holman, one of six children, was born to the union of Leroy Holman and Mabel Stevenson Holman in Carrollton, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings: Leris Holman, John Holman and W.L. Holman; and one son: Darrell Keith Holman. He is survived by the following siblings: one sister, Minnie Holman of Jackson, MS and one brother, Joe Holman of Carrollton, MS.
He received his education from Marshall High School, North Carrollton, MS. Mr. Holman was very crafty with woodwork and utilized those talents in his line of work at Baldwin Piano and Organ Company, where he worked in the pattern shop for more than 30 years. He also worked for Russell Antiques, where he repaired antique furniture.
His religious encounter with Jesus Christ began at an early age at Bear Marsh Missionary Baptist Church where he was a faithful member and deacon of the church.
He met and married Annie Ree Stokes and to this union was born three children. He was blessed with an abundance of love. He showered his children, Cynthia, Steve, and the late Darrell Holman; grandchildren, Derek, Antoinesha, Eric, Marcus, Yasmeen, Reginald, Nicholas, and Casey; great grand-children, Lisa, Derek Jr., Dereous, Deren, Derein, Jasmyne and Kash with sincere love and unquestionable understanding. He also leaves to cherish her loving memories a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Holman loved God, life and everyone he encountered.
