Mr. Terry Lee Stancil, one of five (5) children, was born to the union of the late Robert Lee Stancil and Lena Mae Stancil Kent in Carrollton, MS. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Robert Lee Stancil. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cynthia Stancil; his mother, Mrs. Lena Mae Stancil Kent; a special father, Mr. L. V. Kent, three sisters, Angela Stancil of Carrollton, MS, Paulette Stancil of Memphis, TN, Jannifer Stancil Steward (Willie) of Memphis, TN; one brother; Mr. Kelvin Stancil of Carrollton; four sons, Quinton Jones of Dallas, TX, Devron Stancil of Fort Bragg, NC, Derek Hollman of Hawkins, TX, and Eric Hollman of Arlington, TX; three daughters Antoinesha L. Hollman of Jackson, MS, Yasmeen M. Cook of Hawkins, TX, and Jennifer Tanner of Jackson, MS; seven uncles, Ward Curry, Jr., James M. Curry, Henry P. Curry, Eddie Curry, Kesus Curry, Wardell Stancil, and John Stancil; eight aunts, Willie Florence George, Annie Davis, Lucille Thomas, Margaret Roberson, Olean Curry, Evon Robinson, Lavern Meeks, Mary Perry; eleven grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is a graduate of J. Z. George High School in North Carrollton, and Holmes Community College in Goodman, MS. He used his talents in the caring fields—providing oxygen therapy in homes of persons who needed such and in food service for many years. He has been retired from his beloved professions since 2010.
His religious encounter with Jesus Christ began at an early age at Moss Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Carrollton, MS.
Mr. Stancil loved people, dancing, hunting, farming, gardening and fishing.
